Music was not a place where I felt feminine which is why accepting the current level of femininity is a real challenge. It was really difficult to say, "Okay, I can be feminine, soft, and strong and take care of myself and not lessen myself." It was something that I appreciated a great deal. I was in love with wearing heels with a dress everyday and also the silky fabric. I'm an actress who is younger than everyone else in Fantastic Beasts] and there were a lot of expectations coming into it. There was this unsettling impression during the auditions that there was a huge presence behind me. may either fall under it and crumble due to how badly I wanted it and how huge this seemed, or step on the top and let it pull me upwards. Spending days in museums, cafes, parks or simply taking walks and looking at the people is something I like. London is a city where you are surrounded by people. In LA it's possible to be alone however, you're at the center of it all. I like watching the people around me. I come from the music industry, where you're constantly in the company of males, and you're sure that you're in really intimate situations constantly working alongside males. These books are a dream come true for me. It was nice having the opportunity to study the novels while traveling. You're constantly changing cities which makes it hard to concentrate. But to retreat into such an intense, vivid universe in the comfort of your bed is truly amazing.
